Cost plan BKP / eBKP
The building cost plan (BKP) groups construction costs into standardised categories; the element-based eBKP under SN 506 511 does the same by building element rather than by trade.
Definition
The purpose is comparability across project phases: an estimate in the same structure as the later awards and the final account makes deviations visible while they arise. Without a shared structure you end up comparing two different orders.
The difference between BKP and eBKP is the direction of view: BKP by trade — structural work, electrical, plumbing —, eBKP by element — foundation, façade, roof. For cost benchmarks across projects the eBKP is more useful; for awarding work to contractors, the BKP.

What the software must be able to do
Check whether both structures can be kept and set against each other, and whether estimate, award and final account share the same structure. If the structure exists only in the report, no deviation can be calculated.
